Lead with love Annual Report

December 2022

Dear Friends,

As the year ends, we are reflecting on the impact of our work and the many people it takes to support the wellbeing of our community. Volunteers, donors, staff, community members, academics, and families all come together to support the mission of shifting culture from fear to love.

Thanks to all of you, we have many accomplishments to celebrate!

In 2022

  • We provided 160 community members with yoga-in-nature in partnership with Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES).

  • We offered a new bilingual yoga-in-nature program.

  • We provided mindfulness and yoga to the speakers and participants of Aspen Ideas Festival, connecting participants to their inborn seat of unity consciousness before each day began.

  • Families visiting Aspen from around the world were able to participate in nature-based mindfulness sessions connecting them to one another, the Aspen community, and our natural world.

  • Together, with community partners, we organized and supported a series on mental health. We focused on youth and their experience of mental health and how we can support these youth.

  • We produced a film with Dr. Lisa Miller and Columbia University on the Neuroscience of Spirituality, and its impacts to mental health that has had over 10,000 views to-date.

  • We hosted Dr. Lisa Miller at The Aspen Institute for the Mind, Body, Spirit Series with a sold out audience of 400 attendees.

  • We partnered with The Aspen Chapel to offer an 8-week community exploration of contemporary spirituality with over 60 participants.

  • We’ve launched an Awakened Society Initiative to explore Spirituality & Society with a year-long virtual lecture series.

Additionally

  • We laid the groundwork for Aspen School District and Roaring Fork School District to participate in Columbia University’s Awakened Schools Institute.

  • We are planning a community-wide Aspirational Index survey to work with 250 community organizations in assessing developmental needs and support to meet those needs to improve the quality of the social field -- how we relate to each other, the planet, and ourselves. We will be training the trainers using the data from this survey.

  • We are developing a curriculum based on our years of experience in mindfulness, movement, spiritual psychology and leadership to train and support the heart-centered leaders of tomorrow. We will work with business, government, civil society, schools and beyond to build our collective leadership capacity to lead with love.

  • We supported CASA of the Ninth in their tremendous work providing court-appointed advocates to abused and neglected children. Their mission is to support safe, permanent, nurturing homes for every child they serve.

  • We supported Stepping Stones of the Roaring Fork Valley to build a wellness center in their drop-in center, and provided a bilingual mindfulness and yoga instructor for the youth they serve and their families.

  • And we spoke at various workshops, conferences, and retreats on the neuroscience of spirituality, advocating for a connection, wellbeing, and belonging worldview.

To say we are grateful for your participation is an understatement. Thank you to our generous donors and those who contribute time and wisdom to this movement. This work is only beginning, and as we look to the future, we are excited about the many opportunities ahead.

Please consider making an end-of-year donation to support our work in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. Together, we are making a lasting impact.

In Gratitude,

Anne White

Executive Director | Lead with Love

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” viktor frankl

The work we do at Lead with Love is all about building the capacity within ourselves to create space, and in that space we know that we have a choice. When we know we have a choice, and we are not reacting from conditioning and old patterning, then we are truly able to lead with love and shift our culture one person at a time. We must believe this change is possible. We INVITE YOU TO commit to being part of this change.
